Silverstone, Northamptonshire

Circuit Information

Currently the home of the Formula 1 Santander British Grand Prix and celebrating its 60th year, this former wartime airfield circuit can boast being one of the world's foremost motorsport venues. Silverstone hosted the first ever round of the F1 World Championship in 1948, and over the years has developed to meet the needs of the modern sporting era. The circuit held the British Motorcycle Grand Prix for a decade, following the event's switch to the mainland from the Isle of Man and has staged World Superbike Championship action in recent years in addition to the domestic series.

Directions

Exit M40 at Junction 10. Join A43 signposted to Northampton. Silverstone is signposted from the A43. Alternatively exit M1 at Junction 15a. Follow signs for the A43 to Oxford. Silverstone is signposted from the A43.

The nearest mainline stations are at Banbury and Northampton.
